About Starise
Starise (星跃领航) is the launchpad to tomorrow’s markets. We partner with visionary founders to build market-leading companies across Africa, Asia, and Latin America — focusing on AI, clean energy, and fintech. We provide capital, operational support, and global networks. Backed by Transsion.
Initial focus markets: Mexico, Kenya, Philippines. Three-stage model: Invest → Incubate → Scale. Also known as Starise Ventures and Starise Capital; sub-brand Starise Fintech.
Four investment verticals
- Consumer — Backing ventures that reimagine everyday life through a digital-native lens: from social commerce to D2C brands built on China’s supply chain and sold into Africa’s aspiration.
- Enterprise — Silicon Valley-grade software adapted for local realities, supercharged by AI. In economies where inefficiency is the default, the biggest opportunity is making things just work.
- Energy — Decentralized energy is the fastest path to economic empowerment. Solar home systems and AI-optimized mini-grids combining China’s manufacturing muscle with local distribution.
- Fintech (sub-brand Starise Fintech) — Building the digital financial rails to unlock the trillion-dollar productivity dividends trapped in emerging markets. When you build fintech here, you’re building access.
What we built
bbd.sh studio worked with the Starise team on the public-facing brand site at starise.io. The brief was simple: a landing presence that earns the brand’s place in serious VC conversations, with technical foundations that age well.
Scope
- Brand site architecture and information design
- Vite + React frontend, deployed as a static asset bundle
- Full SEO foundation: meta tags, OG / Twitter cards, JSON-LD schema (Organization, WebSite), canonical declarations, robots.txt, sitemap.xml
- Google Search Console verification + Bing Webmaster import
- IndexNow integration to surface new pages to Bing and Yandex within minutes of publish
- Client-deployed infrastructure (the team manages their own nginx / hosting)
Constraints we worked under
- Brand collision: “Starise” overlaps with several pre-existing entities — a Japanese tower / studio company, a Vocaloid song, a few minor commercial vendors. Search-engine entity disambiguation is a long game; we set the on-site fundamentals correctly so authority can compound over time.
- Stealth-friendly initial launch: portfolio and team details are still being announced publicly, so the homepage stays high-level by design.
- Client infrastructure: the client runs their own deploy pipeline — we shipped a clean dist bundle and a one-line deploy script.
Technology
Vite + React for the frontend (no framework lock-in beyond standard tooling). All SEO signals baked into the static HTML at build time — no JavaScript dependency for indexability. Hosted on the client’s nginx + standard Linux stack.
What’s next
The site is live and indexed. Near-term roadmap items include:
- Pre-rendered route content for /career and /news (so they’re indexed independently from the homepage)
- Editorial cadence for /news — investment announcements, thesis posts, portfolio company features
- Off-site entity work — Crunchbase and partner network pages — so search engines confidently associate Starise with Transsion and the fund’s actual scope
